Haiku Horizons - Comfort

This is for Haiku Horizons and this week's prompt is 'comfort'

Your deep wail, each sigh
Gives me perennial comfort
Revenge is justice

Seething pain, tears gush
Lips murmur a small prayer
Comfort reaches soul

  2. Is it from a villain's perspective?

    1. Hi Archana

It is from a perspective of a person who has not been granted justice and hence has taken a diff path

  3. First haiku amplifies revenge at its best. There is a touch of
sadism. But the second illustrates the sublime effect of a prayer.
    Both are very nice

  6. Oh yes revenge exacted provides a strange sense of succor, and at the other end of the spectrum is the calming effect of a prayer. Brilliantly done Ankita!!

  10. Nice haiku. I liked it, especially the first one. Late President John Kennedy said "Don't get angry, get even".
