Limericks

Once a snob woman got a new phone
The machine was put, sans any tone
A man arrived in the evening
She bragged into it, for his listening
Laughed he “Maam! I’m sent to connect that one!”

There was a plump woman who wore much gold
And hid far more within many a dress fold
Her man when asked his trade
Said two shops he had,
And a jewel mart, catching her hold!

A 'limerick' is a style of poetry, with five lines and a strict rhyme scheme AABBA. These poems generally have a humorous intent. The first, second and fifth lines are usually longer than the third and fourth.

i really don't have a method of writing poetry, just whatever speaks and flows to me to papers often it remains untouched as it cannot be edited and some i edit edit and edit till it no longer resembles what it was.

when you are browsing through, stop by and check out some of my poetry and share your thoughts on what you've read via comment. Just click POETRY in POST CATEGORIES.

    Have a blessed day
