Haiku Horizons- Decline

This is for Haiku Horizons and this week's prompt is 'decline'


I curse this life when
Moon declines and dawn breaks
One more day with myself 


Lying curled alone
Declined sweet lullabies
A motherless child

      Yes, very sad but the worst part is the attitude of other people who decline to extend a loving hand.

  11. The motherless child...I can't help but think of all the children fleeing the violence in Guatemala, and making their way alone across Mexico to cross into the United States...
