I spotted this yellowed Banyan leaf in my veranda and decided to use it for some creative purpose. This painting over it is done with sketch pens. Please click on the image for a better resolution.
Oh that’s a lovely craft! It’s a great joy to try and experiment. Loved the ‘tree in a leaf’! Your post transported me to my school days when I used to try different ways to prepare the leaf for painting so that the leaf can become a perfect skeleton. I used the leaf skeletons as a stencil on paper and even on hands :D
Rightly said! White skeleton of a Peepul leaf is my favourite too (Sadly I never could get hold of a maple tree to do this) :)
You might find the below links useful. We didn’t have the privilege of using net in our school days. I relied mostly on soaking the leaves in butter milk or even in water mixed with Chuuna(calcium carbonate) for days together.
Do check them out and enjoooyyyy :) http://www.createncraft.com/skeleton-leaf-ornaments/ http://www.theidearoom.net/2010/10/how-to-make-leaf-skeletons.html
